Stitch Fix: Box #2

Thanks to my good friend Sara Rode for trying out Stitch Fix and allowing me credit for my second fix! : ) If you are interested in signing up for the service, you can do so here:

I requested several “wedding guest” pieces for another good friend’s wedding I will be attending this weekend and Nancy, my stylist this time round, really pulled through with an awesome box!

Stitch Fix Box #2 – please excuse my derpy grins!

What I got this time, from left to right…

#1. Fun2Fun Tobi Henley Top in Red – It was listed as Small in my shipment but I was sent a Large, which I have already notified themabout. I love the autumn color palette of this shirt, and it pairs well with the second item they sent me.

#2. Just Black Faye Skinny Jean in Grey – I was in total need of a good pair of skinny jeans after my old ones developed unrepairable holes and  was very glad to see this pair in the box. The material is a little stretchy and comfortable which is awesome, and the waist was just the right fit, which is doubly awesome. They also looked great paired with the Tobi Henley Top.

#3. 41Hawthorn Dita Sleeveless Ponte Dress in Navy – Wow do I love this dress. I was a little hesitant at first by the picture, but as soon as it went on it was a definite keeper. Can be dressed up or down, perfect for a more stylish work outfit and my friend’s wedding, and even the partner approved, commenting on its slightly retro Mad Men look.

#4. Bay to Bauble Patricia Gemstone Statement Necklace in White – I almost never buy jewelry – the majority of the bling I have now are gifts from loved ones – and if I did, they would never be as bold as this one. But it pairs so nicely with the Hawthorn Dress, and will be surely worn often as it may be my first “chunky” necklace ever.

#5. C.Luce Torie Dress in Navy – Though the dress itself is more of a turquoise/royal blue color than navy, I really really like this dress (if you couldn’t tell by the goofy smile). I can definitely see this being worn for the office or on summer dates, and it also gets a million bonus points for having pockets! A girl can never have enough pockets.

After trying everything on, I have come to the conclusion that, despite my 1-item restriction going into this experiment, and unless I talk myself sternly and harshly out of it…. I will actually be buying this entire box. The WHOLE thing. Which is kind of amazing, considering how picky I can be with things, and speaks to Nancy’s careful attention of my likes, requests, and Pinterest board. It also depends on how the Tobi Henley Top situation sorts itself out, but I know I’ll be requesting Nancy again. All in all, this was a pretty awesome and fun fix, and I can’t wait for the inevitable third box. : )
